Construction drawdown reporting

Keep funding decisions connected to site progress

A Progress Claim Report assesses a construction claim against work completed and the relevant contract information. It recommends the amount supported for payment and considers the remaining cost to complete, helping financiers and developers understand the current funding position.

Also called a progress drawdown or bank drawdown report, it provides a current view of progress, variations and emerging risks. Asset Scope agrees the reporting cycle and assessment basis around the project’s contract and lender requirements.

Progress claim report scope

What the report covers

  • A site inspection to assess the works completed at the reporting date.
  • Review of the claim against work in place and relevant contract information.
  • A recommendation on the amount supported for payment or drawdown.
  • The estimated cost to complete and its relationship to remaining funds.
  • The status and cost effect of variations within the agreed scope.
  • Progress against the construction programme.
  • Matters that may affect cost or completion.

Your report records the work completed, recommended payment or drawdown amount and assessed cost to complete, with commentary on variations, programme changes and cost risks. We agree the assessment basis, claim period and reporting requirements at the start and state the report’s limitations. Where an Initial Financier’s Report exists, ongoing reporting can follow its established assessment basis.

Cost to complete assessment

Consider the work remaining as well as the current claim

The amount claimed is one part of the funding position. Asset Scope also considers what remains to be built and whether the remaining funds appear adequate for that work.

Structured inspections are carried out by a Certified Quantity Surveyor. Our construction cost experience informs the assessment, and the report makes its assumptions and exclusions visible. Each report is checked against our verification checklist before issue.
